Krista Doyle - Entrepreneur of Excellence

Krista Doyle is the founder and lead designer of Laurel Gate LLC. A wife, mother, and graduate of Missouri Western State University, she embarked on her entrepreneurial journey in 2018 as an artist, illustrator, and hand-letterer. Krista’s whimsical style helps to infuse meaningful messages of joy and hope into her art. She has been mentored by various artistic and entrepreneurial leaders throughout the country and has enjoyed travelling the globe with her husband, further inspiring her craft and touching the lives of others. For over 10 years, she has lent her creative touch in set design to the Restoration Project in Downtown St. Joseph - capturing the history and charm the city. Gateway City Trading Co. is Krista's latest entrepreneurial effort to combine her creativity and love for preserving local history with the practical need to bring a grocery store to Downtown St. Joseph. Her work both locally and abroad has helped to encourage other women to develop their own entrepreneurial gifts to acquire skills in establishing their own creative ventures to break the generational cycle of systemic poverty.
