Elaine Ingle - Woman in Volunteerism

Elaine Ingle has spent decades spreading compassion and service across multiple areas of our community. Since 2010 when she began as Coordinator of Show Me Women Who Care, she has led a growing membership of women to raise over $300,000 and support for 63 diverse non-profit charities across Buchanan and Andrew Counties. She performs all administrative duties with efficiency, love, and leadership. Since 2008, Elaine has led weekly discussion groups for local prison inmates as well as multiple weekend retreats for local inmates and those in surrounding areas, all with the goal to teach the power of love and forgiveness. The effectiveness of her outreach is shown by the sustained attendance and kind words of the offenders she serves. Since 1992, she has given her musical talents to her church where she has served as a full-time volunteer organist, music coordinator, choir director, as well as a Religious Education instructor. For every area that Elaine puts her heart and time into, she does so authentically and successfully. She inspires those around her by first showing what needs to be done, doing it, and then welcoming others to join her as she strives to make lives better.
